Buggy Shed Opening

Posted on: 23 April

Dear Members,

Thank you for your patience.

Works to the bag and buggy storage area are now nearing completion. Pleasingly, we will now be able to commence allowing the return of bags and buggies into the area for storage, albeit with a few modifications to the area yet to be finalised.

Members will be able to start accessing the storage area from 12pm on Monday 24th April.

We would ask that those Members who are able to utilise the upstairs area do so as this will allow those older members and those with electric buggies to utilise the downstairs area.

Markings have been placed on the ground showing spaces provided, a site map upstairs and downstairs is posted on the wall showing areas allocated to buggies, ride-ons and motorised carts, please follow this guide to maximise storage. The Board is also considering a revised storage pricing for the two areas for 2023/24.

Entry will be via either the issued FOB or the Salto KS app. Entry is monitored, and Members should not share either entry method. Any Member yet to collect their FOB should do so before storing their bags and buggy.

  • Current storage tags are required to be properly displayed as regular audits will be conducted, these can be obtained from the office if you are yet to have attached your tag.
  • Access times for the buggy shed will coincide with the pro shop opening and closing times.

With the resumption of storage, the Club is developing a policy to cover the storage of items in the area.

One of the major points of the policy will be that under NO circumstances are rechargeable electric buggy batteries allowed to be charged or stored in the buggy shed. Regular audits of the buggy shed will be conducted. Any members found to be either leaving or recharging their batteries will lose their right to store.

As the service is resuming, we are now in a position to advise the credit to members who had paid for storage but were unable to store due to the area closure. The credit was determined as $100 and will be applied to the 2023/24-year membership fees. Should a member who paid for storage in 2022/23 discontinue membership in 2023/24 the $100 will be refunded once a resignation letter has been received.

For any members wishing to obtain a space in the storage areas there is a waitlist. Once those members with a current storage arrangement have returned their bags and buggies, we will reassess the current waiting list for entry. Any enquiries concerning obtaining a spot are to be directed to enquiry@warringahgolfclub.com.au

With Regards
